Hey! Notice that OH-SO-CUTE succulent we tucked into your arrangement?!
When your flowers have gone to that big compost pile in the sky don't let this babe go with them! In case you don't know which, she is the little green lady staked (that means on a stick!). Once you're ready to dispose of your bouquet remove the succulent from the stake and gently rest it inside a planter filled with fresh soil (indoors or outdoors, either works!). You'll need a planter that is at least 1" wider and taller than your succulent for best results!
After a few weeks time, you'll notice tiny roots forming beneath the succulent! With some more time and patience, you'll start to see new leaves and (if you're a lucky duck) a flower on top!
Care Tips: Succulents are like Goldilocks - a happy medium is best! They love light and warmth but don't want direct heat or sun. They need a drink of water every week but also need to dry out fully in between waterings. Watch carefully for signs of over watering (yellowing leaves) as well as signs of overheating (darker color changes in the leaves, like red tips). Pro Tip: if your succulent roots and begins to shoot a super long stalk, adjust her light and water conditions! A bit more light/a bit less water should do the trick!
