What is your new shipping policy? What is a “delivery window?”
Due to the unprecedented amount of delivery delays related to COVID-19, along with other extreme weather-related delivery challenges faced by our shipping partners, we're trying something new at Farmgirl.
Instead of delivery dates, we're now offering delivery windows. This is a two-day period of time when your Farmgirl order will be delivered. So, when you place an order with Farmgirl Flowers, your order will now arrive on either of the two days in a window you will select at checkout.
How do I select a delivery window?
You can still place your order on farmgirlflowers.com as you normally would, but when you’re ready to select a delivery date, you’ll notice something different.
Rather than selecting a single date, you will now see the option to select a two-day delivery window for your flowers (or plant!).
Select the two-day delivery window that works best for you and your recipient, and we will deliver on either the first or second day in your window.
Please keep in mind that we will always do our very best to have your flowers delivered on the first day in your selected delivery window. It is just as possible, however, that your flowers will be delivered on the second date in the window you select.
What if I don’t see the delivery window I need?
If you’re not seeing the delivery window you need, unfortunately that will mean that the plant or arrangement you’re interested in is not available or sold out for those days.
We will only ever have days that are available for selection visible on each of our pages.
Why the change?
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Farmgirl Flowers has faced the most significant number of delivery delays, challenges, and issues we have ever encountered as a company. Our rollout of delivery windows is another in a long line of pivots we have needed to make so that we may continue to operate our small, bootstrapped business during this global pandemic.
We know how frustrating delivery delays can be for you. And while so many of you have been extraordinarily patient through these many delays, we wanted to find a solution to alleviate the stress of tracking your flowers to make ordering Farmgirl Flowers as seamless of an experience for you as possible.
We’re thrilled to launch delivery windows because we believe that they will mean less stress for you and less confusion about the status of your order. How?
Having the option to select a delivery window removes the need to check in on the status of your order if it has not yet been delivered on the first day in your window. It means fewer emails from us updating you on the status of your order, and will hopefully mean that you can better plan for gifting around the special occasions in your life by telling the recipients of your orders that they can expect their flowers to arrive in a two-day window, instead of just one.
Will my flowers stay fresh?
Yes. The freshness and quality of our product remains our number one priority here at Farmgirl. We have extensively tested (and will continue to test) flower quality and are taking every factor into account as they relate to delivery windows, including the types of flowers we’ll ship to you, the size of our boxes, the materials we’ll use to pack your plant or bouquet, how we can ensure proper hydration during transit, and more.
Just as always, if you’re anything short of thrilled with the flowers you or your recipient receives during the two-day window you select, we’ll be happy to make it right for you by setting up a redelivery.
How does this change my ability to track my order?
Rest assured that we will continue to send you email notifications to share your tracking number with you, to let you know once your plant or bouquet has shipped from our warehouse, and once it has been delivered. In addition to that, you may continue to check the status of your order via the tracking link we will provide you over email.
Finally, we highly recommend signing up for shipping alerts provided by our shipping partners, FedEx and UPS. You may sign up for alerts on their respective websites to get real-time updates on the status of your order.
What happens if the bouquet doesn’t arrive in that two-day window?

Do delivery windows come with a lowered delivery fee?
Unfortunately, no. Delivery windows will not come with a lowered shipping fee as we will still be delivering your bouquets via priority (as we always have) to ensure that your order is loaded on planes and trucks first for the earliest possible delivery.
And believe us, the minute we can lower our delivery fees, we will!
